Things to keep in mind for a safe journey

The good news is that reopening efforts are in the offing. Governments around the world are contemplating reopening business and the tourist attractions to be particular. People have also started flocking to different spots as long period of isolation and lockdown has bored them and they are desperately looking for a break from such chain. Though the safest option is not to travel, people are actually not ready any more to stay inside homes. If you are also experiencing the same and planning a day out, here are a few things to keep in mind to stay safe and enjoy the journey as well.

Maintain distance from others

If you are travelling by bus or train, try your level best to maintain distance from other passengers.

If possible, ask the bus contractor to keep the seat next to you vacant. And the best way to avoid conflict is to pay money for that seat as well so that you can keep it vacant. Even if you need to move within the bus or train, avoid contact with others to minimize the risks associated with coronavirus.

Wash your hands frequently

Don’t forget to wash your hands frequently using soapy water or handwash. It’s better if you can carry a portable handwash with you while you are on the move.

As you will be touching so many things in the bus or train, rinse off your hands with water after every few minutes. If water is not available, use a sanitizer. You can use disinfectant like hexisol as well to keep the virus and other germs at bay.

Don’t touch your face

There is no guarantee where the virus could be and you can also be a carrier. So, never touch your face, nose or mouth without washing your hands. This is the best way to ward off the virus.

Drink bottled water only

Water can be contagious and so, you must not drink water from unreliable sources even if you are on the move. Carry at least two packaged water bottles with you if you are planning to go on a long journey. Drink water from that bottle only.

As we are going through a crisis period, it will be wise not to allow anyone to sip from your bottle as well during the journey.

Well, though it is not wise to travel at this moment, you may face an urgency. In that case, keep these points in mind and act accordingly.
