In the face of coronavirus outbreak experts are suggesting everyone to stay home with a view to keeping yourself safe from infections. Well, though it sounds good, it is not practical. How long are you going to stay indoors? Today or tomorrow you will have to go outside to buy necessary essentials and commodities for your family members. So, in that case how will keep yourself away from contamination? Have a look at the following tips.
Put on easily washable clothes
While you are going outside it is necessary to remember that after you come back home you must wash your clothes because attires can bring in virus inside your home. So, wear clothes that are easily washable and immediately after making your way back home from the supermarket immerse those in water mixed with detergent.
Use one-time gloves and masks
While picking up your desired products from the racks of the super shop you must put on single-use gloves because the same things may have been touched by someone infected with coronavirus just before you did. After you are done with the shopping just throw the gloves away and don’t forget to wear you mask all the time while you are out of your home.
Avoid contact and stay for least possible time
Try to avoid contact with people walking around in the shop. Maintain social distance and stay away from other people shopping in the shop. That’s why it’s a better idea if you go to the super shop at a time when the density of visitors will be very low. Moreover you should finish buying your products early so that you can leave early. If possible, use your card to avoid contact with the cashier.
Wash your hands when you are back home
Don’t forget to wash your hands properly for at least twenty seconds when you will be back home from the supermarket. Remember that this is the most important step you will be making to fight the spread of coronavirus. If you touch anything without washing your hands, the virus will spread to that surface and anyone from your family may touch that surface later, making them susceptible to the virus infection. So, do not touch anything, not even the door knob or the faucet of your basin, without washing your hands. Ask someone else to help you turn on the faucet.
Last but not least, leave your shoes or sandals that you put on to go to the shop outside your place. Shoes or sandals can be risky and a carrier even when it comes to coronavirus. That’s why it’s better if you keep them in a shoe-rack placed outside your entrance.
