Most people like to enjoy Luqaimat in the Holy month of Ramadan. However people are craving for this throughout the year nowadays as it is one of the popular desserts in our country.
Ingredients
- Flour – 250 gm
- Water – 250 ml
- Yeast – 10 gm
- Sugar – 15 gm
- Salt – 5 gm
- Soybean oil – 50 ml
- Soybean oil for frying – 500 ml
Ingredients For Sugar Syrup
- Sugar – 500 gm
- Water – 500 ml
- Lemon slice – 3 pieces
Directions
- Mix the flour, salt, oil, and yeast.
- Add sugar and water.
- Mix everything together well and allow the dough to rise for half an hour.
- Make tiny balls out of the dough and deep fry in oil.
- When the dumplings are light brown, remove from oil and put it on sugar syrup.
- Serve hot with nuts garnish.
- To make the sugar syrup, add sugar in a pan. Add water and let the sugar dissolve in the water. Stir well.
