Makeup Game: Give It An Arabian Twist

This Eid you can adorn yourself in a new way by having some kind of inspiration from the Arabian princesses. Arabian makeup is famous for so many reasons. From the way eyeliners are designed to how headpieces bring mysticism in your getup, Arabian beauty techniques are one of the most followed ones around the world. Here are some ideas:

Mysterious Eyes

If you go through the images of Arabian makeup, something you would notice a lot is how the eyes are designed. Through a combination of light and dark eye shadow, eyeliner and mascara, eyes appear much bigger and more attractive. Begin with a base. Apply a light colour on the upper eyelids and follow it along a little on the lower eyes. With golden/white and brown eye-shadow, form a shade, extending from the inner eyes to nearly the eye brows. Keep the inner part of a light colour such as white and the extended part of brown. Put white eye shadow in the inner corner of the eyelids. On the outer corners, carefully apply black eye shadow in such a format that forms a contrasting shade with the previous white and brown layer. Remember, the idea is to make the pair of eyes appear larger. Make sure both of them are drawn with the same measurements. Apply brown eye shadow on the lower eyelids too but keep it minimal. Put on eye liner. You can opt for cats eyes or winged eyes. Finish with mascara. You can also add false eyelashes and coloured contact lenses to this eye makeup. Remember to draw the eyebrows thickly as well.

Posh Lips

With the eyes given priority in this makeup, lips can look bare too. Or you could apply a lipstick similar to your skin colour or of light brown, tangerine, and so on. Regular colours such as pink or red will also look gorgeous. You can also be a little more brave and apply more gothic colours such as deep purple and dark brown.

Bejeweled Crown

Whether you are keeping your hair open or tied, straight or curled, the headpiece is an important element in this makeup. It is normally an embellishment decorated with various precious stones. If you feel it’s too much, you could simply put on a tikli with chains (maang tikka).

Bling

If you are thinking about wearing ornaments, don’t be shy. An Arabian princess flaunts her jewelry very confidently. Just make sure you understand the protocol of the party you are attending!  If you are simply hanging out with cousins, a maang tikka, small pendant and bangles for each pair of wrists will be enough!

Follow these tips and you are sure to catch all the attention. Just be patient while applying the techniques.
