4 rainy-day hacks for city dwellers

Many poets might have composed so many poems taking the rains into account, but the season or time is probably not so romantic for the city dwellers, especially those who live in the capital. A rainy day can ruin your whole day and result in so many bad consequences for you. If you want to avoid all those hassles, here are 4 rainy-day hacks for you.

  1. Salvage your raincoat from the closet

You have probably thrown away your old raincoat in some corner of your closet. This is the right time to salvage it as rain does not come in the capital following any routine or season. It may come anytime and the possibility is now very high. So, bring out the raincoat from the closet and wash it properly. Next time you go out don’t forget to carry it with you.

  1. Carry your umbrella

Have you fixed your umbrella or you are left with no umbrella at all? If you have one, check whether it’s okay. If you don’t have, then buy one as it will come in handy this rainy season. Umbrella is probably the most useful thing a person can carry with him in such weather when it may rain anytime.

  1. Always keep back-up socks

You will feel very uncomfortable if your dress gets wet in the rain. And the biggest discomfort comes from your socks. If you get drenched in water and the socks get wet, you will feel very bad. That’s why you must keep a pair of back-up socks in your bag when you go out. This is a must in this season.

  1. Stock newspapers at home

Newspaper industry may be dying, but there is denying the fact that newspapers are really good at soaking moisture out of your shoes. Keep newspapers ready at home so that you can soak the water out of your pair of shoes once you make your way back to home as it will not be so easy to wash shoes unlike your clothes. You can also use newspapers for drawing moisture out of your bag.

Finally, if possible always carry a towel with you as you can clean your head and hair with the towel. If you get drenched and let it go that way, it may easily make you suffer and you can even get sick.
